LEAD FACILITATOR & PRODUCER

An 8-week programme of young person-centred Drama workshops for young carers focusing on process over outcome.

This project is the first of its kind for us at Mind Out, partnering with Nottinghamshire Young Carers to co-create and deliver drama workshops with two groups of young carers across Mansfield and Nottinghamshire. The project is funded by Arts Council England, Awards for All and Theatre Clwyd, and supported by In Good Company and Captivate.

We explored improvisation (including Suspicious Supermarket), games, singing (songs from Turning Red), storyboarding and developing short films, script work, photography (creating a series of images for a comic book strip), breath work, drawing, using props to develop short scenes and stories.
